Kosteniuk Posts New Orlov Chess Sets Photos

Hi everybody!

Following my visit to the Chess factory in Orlov last month (see my previous post of the visit), I was asked to make a photo series to promote the company’s chess sets.

A photo session was made yesterday with Pufichek (see other photos by Pufichek), and the result can be seen in this new photoalbum.

Some samples are below.

These chess sets are made in Russia, in the city Orlov (Kirov Region)

Notice the Kings and Queens are of different colors, that’s standard in sets in Russia

The web site of the company that makes the chess sets is www.shahmati.my1.ru

The sets are usually sold with the board, which folds in a box

The Orlov factory that makes the sets is the largest in Russia

This last photo is appropriately called “The Chess Queen” 😉
