On June 11, during a special Press Conference at the Petrosian Match in Moscow, Alexandra was congratulated by the Vice-Chairman of the Russian Chess Federation Valerii Zubov for becoming the Woman European Chess Champion 2004, the very first time a Russian achieves that award!
